Eligibility Criteria for UPTET 2026

To be eligible for the UPTET 2026 examination, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications for both Primary and Upper Primary Teacher roles. Candidates who are in the final year of their required professional qualification might also be eligible, following NCTE guidelines.

TET Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8)	Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree with minimum 50% marks along with B.Ed / B.Ed (Special Education) (Passed / Appearing – Final Year), OR Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree with 2-Year BTC (D.El.Ed) Training Passed, OR 10+2 (Intermediate) with minimum 50% marks along with 4-Year B.El.Ed course, OR 10+2 (Intermediate) with minimum 50% marks along with B.Sc.Ed course Passed, OR Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with minimum 45% marks / Master’s Degree in any subject along with B.Ed (Passed / Appearing) as per NCTE norms.
