Application Fee

The application fee varies based on your category and the number of programs you apply for:

For Gen / OBC / EWS (Single Programme): ₹2000/-
For Gen / OBC / EWS (For Two Programmes): ₹3000/-
For SC / ST / PH (Single Programme): ₹500/-
For SC / ST / PH (For Two Programmes): ₹750/-

You can pay the fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, or Mobile Wallet.

Age Limits (as on August 01, 2026)

The age requirements for NIFTEE 2026 are as follows:

For B.Des & B.F.Tech: Maximum age is 24 Years. There is no minimum age specified.
For M.Des, M.F.M, M.F.Tech: There is no age limit.

NTA provides age relaxation as per its regulations for certain categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Various Courses

Master of Design (M. Des.)	Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream or a 3-year Diploma from NIFT or NID. They must also meet the age limit and be Indian citizens.
Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)	Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream or a 3-year Diploma from NIFT or NID. They must also meet the age criteria and be Indian citizens.
Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)	Candidates must have completed B.F.Tech from NIFT or hold a B.E./B.Tech degree. They must also satisfy the age requirements and be Indian citizens.
Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) For Artisan Category	Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board (including NIOS) or possess a 3–4 year Diploma. They also need a valid Artisan Card, meet the age limit, and be Indian citizens.

How To Check & Download NTA NIFTEE Stage-I Exam City Details 2026

Follow these steps to check your exam city details:

Open an internet browser on your phone or computer.
Go to the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
On the homepage, look for the “NIFTEE / Exam City Details / Candidate Login” section.

Mode Of Selection

The selection process for NIFTEE programs involves different tests:

UG Programmes:

For B.Des, candidates must appear in GAT (General Ability Test), CAT (Creative Ability Test), and a Situation Test. The weightage is CAT 50%, GAT 30%, and Situation Test 20%.
For B.F.Tech, candidates only need to appear in GAT.

PG Programmes:

For M.Des, candidates must appear in GAT, CAT, and a Personal Interview.
For MFM and M.F.Tech, candidates must appear in GAT and a Personal Interview.

Marking Scheme:

In the objective tests, each correct answer earns 1 mark, and each wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks. No marks are awarded for unattempted questions.
